Ambassador Zhao Weiping had an interview with the corespondents of Namibian Broadcasting Corporation and New Era after his presentation of Letter of Credence to H.E. Dr. Hage G. Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia. 　

Amb. Zhao firstly extended his cordial greetings and best wishes to the people of Namibia. He said, China and Namibia are both developing countries with their economies complementary to each other and their peoples enjoying traditional friendship. The bilateral relationship is developing well and also equal and mutually beneficial. Both countries want to have an even greater development of this relationship so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples. Namibia, as the 34th largest country in the world in terms of land area, has huge potential for development. China stands ready to work together with Namibia to enhance practical cooperation in the fields such as agriculture, education, tourism, clean energy and mining.

Amb. Zhao said, during his tenure, he will make friends extensively with Namibia people and work hard to promote common interests of China and Namibia. He will do all the things good for China, good for Namibia, and good for China-Namibia relations.
