On October 11, 2023, Ambassador Zhao Weiping had an exclusive live interview at Ealge FM, the largest radio station in Namibia.
Ambassador Zhao touched upon the historic context, main content and great significance of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and pointed out that this year marks the 10th anniversary of this Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping. Over the past decade, the successful practice of BRI has played an important role in promoting economic globalization and the econoic development of the participating countries, and thus got extensive support from the international community. The third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will be soon held in Beijing, which will certainly inject new impetus to the development of BRI. Ambassador Zhao said, the BRI cooperation between China and Namibia has huge potential and broad prospects, and he hopes the two countries will have more cooperation projects.
