The new-version online visa application form and appointment system for Chinese visa will be launched by the Chinese Embassy in Namibia on May 10th, 2021. The specific arrangements are as follows:

1. According to the Announcement on the Temporary Suspension of Entry by Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Visas or Residence Permits, jointly issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Immigration Administration of the People's Republic of China on March 26th, 2020, the special visa policy during the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be effective (For latest notices, please visit the official website of the Embassy, http://na.chineseembassy.org/eng/lsfw/tz/).

2. From May 10th, visa applicants who meet the above requirements should visit https://cova.mfa.gov.cn to fill in a new-version online visa application form, and then visit http://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn to make an appointment. Please sign and submit the printed visa application form and confirmation page, together with other supporting documents to the Consular Department of the Embassy during the appointed time slot (Office hours: 09:00-11:30 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, excluding public holidays).

3. From May 10th to June 10th is the transition period, in which applicants may still submit the old-version application form, and do not need to make appointments on line. From June 10th, all applicants must fill in the new-version online application form and make an online appointment, and the Embassy would no longer accept non-appointment applications and old-version application forms.

4. Holders of diplomatic and service (official) passports may submit the application directly to the Consular Department of the Embassy without an appointment, but should also visit https://cova.mfa.gov.cn to fill in the new-version online visa application form.
