On November 15, Ambassador Zhao Weiping hosted the second press conference of this year at the Embassy, in which 7 major media agencies in Namibia were represented by their journalists, including Namibia Broadcasting Company, Namibia Today, the Namibian Sun, and the Namibian.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Zhao reviewed the highlights in the development of China-Namibia bilateral relationship during the past year, including the meeting between the two heads of state in Johannesburg, introduced the key priorities of his work since his assumption of office as Chinese Ambassador to Namibia, and said that the Embassy will strive for greater development of bilateral relationship next year. In the open Q&A session, Ambassador Zhao provided in-depth answers to the questions that the journalists were interested in, including China-Namibia mineral and energy cooperation as well as the operation by Chinese enterprises in Namibia.
