Good Morning.

It's my great honor to join you in celebrating the tenth Anniversary of Swakop Uranium's Husab Mine. On behalf of the Chinese Embassy, I wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Chairman An Junjing and the Husab Mine on their remarkable achievements in the past ten years.

I am particularly honored that His Excellency Founding Father is kindly with us today. Founding Father has laid the solid foundation for the development of China-Namibia relations and his great vision will forever inspire us to even further promote the friendship and common interests between our two countries. We are so grateful to Your Excellency, Founding Father, thank you.  

I also wish to thank Governor Andre and Executive Director Ithindi for their consistent support to the China-Namibia practical cooperation in various fields.

Swakop Uranium's Husab Mine, as one of the most significant uranium discoveries in the world for the past decade, stands out as China's single largest investment in Africa. 

Ever since its construction in 2013, Swakop Uranium has consistently grown into a prominent player in the mining industry, thanks to its exceptional management team, efficient operational model, and outstanding production performance.

Throughout those ten years, Swakop Uranium has not only elevated its own production capabilities and operational quality, but has also actively embraced the local Namibian community, fulfilling its social responsibilities.

Swakop Uranium has provided numerous market opportunities,  and avenues for growth for Namibian businesses, contributing significantly to Namibia's sustainable development and earning praise and recognition from various sectors. 

Swakop Uranium certainly serves as a shining example of mutually-beneficial cooperation between China and Namibia. This is your project, this is our project. This is a joint project of our two countries. The success of Husab Mine is a success for all of us.

As Chinese Ambassador to Namibia, I see enormous potential in China-Namibia economic cooperation. We are sure to have more Chinese investment in Namibia and China-Namibia relations will continue to prosper for many years to come. 

We will have more successes, and we will have more excellent companies like Swakop Uranium. 

In conclusion, I wish Swakop Uranium even greater development in the next ten years and wish His Excellency Founding Father and all the distinguished guests present here today a very happy and healthy year of 2024. Thank you.
