On June 2, Chinese Ambassador to Namibia Zhao Weiping paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Works and Transport of Namibia, Hon. Veikko Nekundi, and exchanged views on the development cooperation between China and Namibia.

Zhao congratulated Nekundi on his appointment as Minister of Works and Transport of Namibia and briefed him on the progress of relevant China-aided projects in Namibia, saying that the Chinese side will deepen cooperation with Namibia and actively implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Nekundi thanked China for its long-term support on the construction of roads and other infrastructure in Namibia, spoke highly of the enduring friendship between China and Namibia, and expressed his hope to expand exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields.
