Good afternoon! On behalf of all my colleagues and myself, "Welcome you all to the Chinese Embassy"!

I am very happy to attend such lovely party and congratulate on another 10 Namibia friends from Hua Wei company to have a chance to go to China to take a training course. It is our first time for our Embassy to organize such event with Hua Wei Company. To take a training course will open a new window for you to know more about China with your own eyes.

China has a long history. The Chinese people invented compass, gunpowder, paper and printing. We call them "the Four Great Inventions of the world". China is also famous for its calligraphy, Peking Opera, acrobatics and Kongfu. I think you all know Jackie Chen, the big Kongfu star. This year we sent 4 Namibian young men to China to learn Kongfu and made their Kongfu dream come true.

The hardworking Namibian people also created great civilization on this Land of the Brave. Far distance and different skin colors can not stop the friendship between the Chinese and Namibian people. Back to the times before the independence of Namibia, China provided generous assistance to Namibia for its national liberation, that is when our friendship began. After that, we become even closer friends. The exchanges between us keep going deeper in all areas of politics, economy, education and culture, most importantly the people to people exchange. Last year, we set up the Confucius Institute in University of Namibia, giving Namibian people more chance to learn Chinese language and culture. This September, 16 students from Confucius Institute went to China for a summer camp. They are all very excited to see a real, fast-developing and astounding China. Moreover, about 10 Namibian students are selected every year to go and study in top Chinese universities. Every one of you present today may have the chance in the future.

Youths are the future of the nation, and also the future of the friendship between our two countries. I hope training in China experiences can help you not only to master the knowledge of telecommunication but also to understand more about the culture and history of each other's country, grow the seed of friendship and contribute to the bright future of our good relations.

Finally I would say thanks again to main manager Mr Yi Xian yu, We thank him to choose the embassy to be the place to have a such wonderful ceremony. Thank all the friends here, as your participation means a lot to the people-to-people exchange between our two countries. Bon voyage to all the Namibia Yong people and wish your training in Hua Wei a success.
